Meta has Muse, OpenAI has Dots, and we have Lio!
Last month Meta announced Muse, OpenAI replied with Dots, and we thought: Can we build our very own AI mascot? We may not have their billions, and we may be busier than ever navigating school holidays, but once curiosity kicks in we can't stop.

We named it Lio, he is pretty simple: he can write, talk, read, listen, and interact with you to help decide which of our services may suit you.

It is a very early first attempt, it will make mistakes, it won't understand you, it will take you to the wrong path. Which is fine, we are just discovering what can be done, technology nowadays allows quick experimentation and affordable trial and error.

Lio is a friendly way to start a conversation, at least friendlier than forms. If you are happy with the conversation one of our team will reply within one business day.

Under the hood

  • We wrote the kickstarter questions and we use AI to adjust the conversation based con your answers.
  • If you provide your email or phone, it stays within our servers in New Plymouth and won't be accessible to AI.
  • A language model from Anthropic handles the conversation. OpenAI's text-to-speech gives him a voice.
  • If Lio reaches our daily budget, then he'll default to non-AI conversations, which are scripted and feel more basic.
  • Conversations are automatically deleted after 90 days.

Why we built him

  • To show what practical AI looks like for a small NZ business: one clear job, sensible limits and a person at the end.
  • To give you a faster way to start than a contact form.
  • To keep our skills sharp, shipping beats wondering.

Try Lio
