How it runs

Nine hours over six weeks. Five of those hours are with you; the other four go into building material around the system you chose, with applied work on your own data in between.

Discovery session (1 hour)

We map what you run on a structured worksheet and pick the system to focus on, and you learn to spot the decisions that matter and the gaps in what you can see today. You finish the map as homework.

Developing (2 hours)

We work out how to get clean data out of the system you chose, and build a dashboard template matched to it.

Building session (2 hours)

You build your decision dashboard on your real data, guided live, turning a raw export into the handful of numbers you actually act on.

Personalised runbook building (2 hours)

We turn the dashboard into your runbook: refreshing the data, the checks that keep the numbers trustworthy, and a review rhythm that sticks.

Q&A session (2 hours)

We review the dashboard you've kept developing, embed the review routine into how you run the week, and map out what bringing your other systems in would take if you want to go further.

What sort of businesses is this for?

Can we connect all our systems in this training?
No, and that's deliberate. Nine hours goes into one system: getting clean data out of it and turning that into a dashboard you can act on. Bringing several systems into a single view is a much bigger piece of work and a separate programme. You'll finish this one able to judge whether that's worth doing and what it would involve.
How do we choose which system to focus on?
That's the discovery session. We map what you run and pick the one where a clear dashboard would change the most decisions, which is usually where you're spending the most manual effort today, not necessarily your biggest system.
Do I need a data analyst on the team?
No. This is aimed at the owner or the person running operations, and it works with the tools you already have. You'll finish able to run and read the dashboard without hiring anyone for it.
Will I end up with a dashboard I can actually maintain?
Yes, for the questions it was built to answer. You'll refresh it, check it and read it with confidence, because you built it and you know where every number comes from. That understanding is the real takeaway and it stays with you: the same questions get answered next quarter, and the one after, without calling anyone. If the business starts asking genuinely new questions of its data, that's the natural point to extend the dashboard or take the next piece of training.
What if the answer turns out to be custom software?
Sometimes it is, and you'll finish the training able to tell the difference and write a brief that gets you honest quotes. We build that kind of platform too, but that's a separate commercial conversation, not where this training is pointed.
How is this different from an IT structure audit?
An audit is us assessing your infrastructure and handing you a report. This is you learning to read your own systems and build the view you need. The audit answers a question once; the training means you can keep answering it.
