Frequently asked questions

Who owns the client relationship?
You do, contractually and day to day. We never approach your client directly, and any new work that grows out of the engagement goes through you.
Can you work white-label?
Yes. Under your brand we're invisible: your proposals, your reporting, our build. If you'd rather introduce us as your technical partner, that works too. You choose per client, and we're comfortable either way.
What does care and hosting include?
Hosting, monitoring, backups, security patches and small content changes, on a monthly arrangement scoped to each site. Bigger changes are quoted as small projects, through you.
How does pricing work?
Each build is scoped and priced individually, and you see the price before your client does, so you can set your own margin. There's room to move, too: when a price is what stands between you and the client, we'll flex it with you to help land the work. Care and hosting are a monthly line on top.
What do you build with?
Mostly Ruby on Rails, the framework behind Shopify, GitHub and Basecamp. If you've not met it, the short version: proven, secure, quick to build with and cheap to keep running, with none of the plugin churn of a typical WordPress build. If a brief genuinely fits something else, we'll say so.
