Bumper Balls Taranaki
One page in 2025. A full booking site once the enquiries proved it was worth building.
The challenge
Bumper Balls Taranaki takes bumper balls, an inflatable arena and kids electric jeeps to parties, schools and events around the region. In 2025 the owner wanted a minimal online presence and nothing more: somewhere to say what the business does, where it goes and how to get in touch. The real question came afterwards. The page worked. Enquiries came in, and the owner wanted more from the site. It had to grow from one page into something that could carry the whole business, without starting again.
Our approach
We built the one-pager and stopped there. A small site that is live beats a big one that is still being planned. Once the enquiries were coming in, the owner had their site reviewed by Idyllic, a disruptive marketing agency, who nailed with the improvements that they suggested. We implemented all of them, and took the site to the next level at the same time: more pages, each with one job, and a form shaped around how the business takes a booking.
The solution
Every service has its own page: bumper balls, kids electric jeeps and the inflatable arena. So does every kind of event: birthday parties, school events, corporate events, church and youth groups, and shows, markets and fundraisers. Someone planning a school gala lands on a page written for a school gala. The enquiry form follows how Bumper Balls Taranaki works. You choose what to hire and for how many hours, add the arena or a generator if the venue has no power, pick the town from a list that covers Taranaki, and say what kind of event it is and who is coming. The enquiry arrives with what the owner needs to quote. The website was not the only thing that grew. The business added kids electric jeeps as a new service, and the site was ready for them: their own page, and their own place in the form.
The outcome
Bumper Balls Taranaki went from one page to a site with a page for every service and every kind of event, and a form built around the business. None of it was planned on day one. Each step followed something real: enquiries first, then advice, then a new service. That is the point we take from it. Websites don't need to be amazing from the first go. You can start humble and small, grow as you see fit, and review it once or twice a year. You can't get it wrong.
