Consocracy
Getting a book series on Consocracy in front of more readers
The challenge
Ted Wells has spent close to 50 years working on Consocracy, a way to add consensus to democratic decision-making, and he has put it into the four books of A Plan for the Planet. consocracy.com is how those books reach readers. The site ran on WordPress. It broke, and Ted could no longer get into it to add or change anything, so the one place spreading his books was stuck. When he looked for help, he ended up talking to a bot.
Our approach
Ted asked for the site he already had, not a redesign. So we rebuilt it as it was: the same pages, the same words and the same look, on the same domain. Then we added what helps the books travel: they can be read right on the site, and there is a blog for new writing around them.
The solution
A new website at consocracy.com with every page from the old one. Each book has its own page with a reader, so a visitor can start reading in the browser, page by page or full screen, without downloading a file or buying a copy first. The free PDF and the hard copy are still one click away. Ted edits the pages and the blog himself, whenever he wants. When he has a question, he gets in touch with us and talks to a person.
The outcome
The new site went live in October 2026, one week after we started. Ted is back in control of the website that spreads his books, and anyone who lands on it can start reading straight away.
